Live Orchestra

Last year, a group of musicians led by Jason Dyck of Winkler, volunteered their time and talents to provide the musical accompaniment composed by Micheal Janzen specifically for Oak Valley. The live music brings an added dimension to the performances. Oak Valley is currently looking for volunteers this year's orchestra. Please phone 242-3107 if you are interested.

Brand new stage

In 2011 a new, permanent set was built, complete with a cement stage and prefabricated flats. A crew of volunteers spent many hours constructing, painting, and assembling the new set. Backstage improvements were incorporated, providing additional enclosed storage and preparation areas.

What's New:

New Scenes

Last year, director Belita Sanders wrote additional scenes for the beginning of the Passion Play. They depict the biblical stories of Jesus' birth and childhood, His baptism in the Jordan river, some of His miracles and the Sermon on the Mount. Expect to see these scenes will be in this year's production as well, so don't miss out on the action!

Audience Comments

We really enjoyed this production. It is our second time and we wouldn't hesitate to return.
- Bill & Valerie, Teulon, MB

We have attended our church services each year for many years...have watched movies about the story of Christ's death and resurrection, but never before have we actually felt like we were a part of Christ's story of who He was, how He and His mother and disciples and others acted and reacted. Thank you for the moving and beautiful portrayal of this most important story.
- Glen & Val

We both enjoyed the production; it was the focal point of our weekend get away with another couple.
- Jack & Lynne

Very well done. Much work involved. Lots going on to hold the attention of the audience. Wonderful site - well organized. Worth the 4 hour drive to get here.
