July 8, 9, and 10 at 7:30 pm.
The 2nd weekend of this summer's performances run Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 8, 9 and 10 at 7:30pm.
Sunday features an afternoon Mass beginning at 4pm with Archbishop Richard Gagnon presiding.
Returning for 2016, a group of musicians led by Christian Kantz and Jason Dyck of Winkler will volunteer their time and talents to provide musical accompaniment composed by Micheal Janzen and commissioned by Oak Valley for Manitoba's Passion Play.
Renovated stage and set
In 2011 a new, permanent set was built, complete with an expanded concrete stage and prefabricated flats. A crew of volunteers spent many hours constructing, painting, and assembling the new set. Backstage improvements were incorporated, providing additional enclosed storage and preparation areas.
Director Belita Sanders has written additional scenes for the beginning of the Passion Play. They incorporate the biblical stories of Jesus' birth and childhood, His baptism in the Jordan River, a number of His miracles and the Sermon on the Mount. This updated script will be performed in 2016.
WINNER of 2011 Best Event Based Attraction category in Pembina Valley Tourism's Regional Tourism Awards .
